95% Sangiovese, 2.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.5% Pinot Noir. Double blind, most would probably call this a hot vintage Brunello, outside of Palmina, this is the most true to type CA Sangiovese I have tried. Garnet orange, medium nose of autumn leaf, underbrush, leather, dried cherry, dried raspberry, orange rind. Medium body, high complexity, high alcohol, high acidity, moderate tannin. Palate matches. |
