We're moving to a bigger home, but the previous home had a natural wine cellar which we loved and I figure we should get one of them 80"^3 ones or something. Three questions: 1. Capacity Seems like they hold about 20 bottles per foot based on the length/depth, assuming 80"tall x 80" wide... which seems to be a standard. Does 20/foot seem like the results you've gotten if you have such an assembled room? 2. Items other than wine stored. Also, since it's essentially a big refrigerator, I was wondering if y'all put stuff in there other than wine? Beer, liquor, food, dead bodies, ya know, the usual? If so, then I'm thinking I should get a cellar/room that'll hold our wine and other stuff? We've got about 300 bottles now and I just cannot fathom for one moment that we'll ever go over 1000. 3. What's included in a typical DIY assembly package? From the links y'all have provided in other threads, I see walls, parts, refrigeration and that's it. Some include or option some sort of humidity control and I think we'll need that. But none mention actual storage racks. Are racks seperate? I know this has been discussed before, but my search didn't turn up anything on those three questions. Thanks for your feedback! |
