| What about an option to print one (or just a few) posts without printing the entire page? Sometimes someone details a list of restaurants that are "can't miss" and you want to print that post but not the entire page? | | | |

Can you please put it in the Feedback Center so it doesn't get lost? In the meantime, I'll make the request to the developer. | | If you drink wine, you get smarter....

| Brad, you keep saying you'll get this to the developer. For some reason I thought one of the reasons you went with this new forum software was the ability that you could start making the changes yourself. Did I get that wrong or has this changed? | | Joe ----- Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| You partly got it wrong.... partly got it right.... and it's a long explanation.
The simple answer is this.... if I modify the core forums code and a new release comes out that I want to upgrade to (which will happen, the developer is doing a great job now), I'd have to redo every core change again. This isn't a good practice.... never meant to suggest it was if I did so. Further, if there is an issue, i can research it myself and let the developer know what's going on. And if by chance the developer stops upgrading the forum software... I can continue it since I have the code. Seems the developer is in it for the long term though, and suggests the next release is coming out in July.
The reason I want to see the code, is so I can integrate with it... but I'm not ready to release those plans yet. I want to release the restaurants module first. It's taking me a long time, but to get everything on the back end correct so I can easily expand the module based on user feedback and longer terms plans I have for the module has proven a little difficult... but I'm over the major hurdles. This "back-end" stuff I'm talking about will also help with other things we could do here... such as recommended hotels in wine country, bed and breakfast reviews, etc. | | If you drink wine, you get smarter....

| Yes, I saw that. Thank you!!!
As an FYI - I've added "email this post" and "email this post to a friend" and a couple other per post options... along with a couple thread options (print thread, search thread)... all based on your print post suggestion... so thanks again. | | If you drink wine, you get smarter....
