The Colgin website has been updated to show the IX Estate wines that will be released April 2006.

IX Estate Syrah - $150 (+$25) - allocated 3 bottles

Production unchanged on the Cab (1200 cases) and up aobut 50% on the Syrah (from 300 cases to 450 cases).

What does the +75 and +25 mean?

I know I'll have extras. I know, 98 RP points.... But I don't need any more $250 bottles in my basement.

Geez...pricing is getting out of hand...at this rate expect to pay $500 per for most Cali cult wines in a few years. Talk about inflation...no wonder the Fed is worried!

I have a buddy on their list I was going to share an allocation with, but I think I'll pass at $325 and $175 per.

Everett - just to make sure it is clear, here is the pricing for this year:

Cab - $250 for the 2004, up $75 from the 2003 cab that cost $175
Syrah - $150 for the 2004, up $25 from the 2003 syrah that cost $125

Ok, I talk a big game. Now someone has offered me his entire allocation. What to do? Do I buy, especially if I have access to future allocations? This one has me torn, much more so than Levy & McClellan.
