I'm going to Italy in a few days and my wife had this bottle of wine that her grandparents brought over when they immigrated. It's been years since she's had it, and the bottle is long gone by now. She believes the wine was called Chateau Grigio, but from my online searches, i havent found anything that resembles that name. Also, since airline reglations are so tight now, not allowing any bottles on the plane, i was wondering if anyone could help me find out if there is such a thing as chateau grigio, an estimated price, and how i could possible transport the wine back into the US when i buy it. any help would be great. thanks.
Sincerely,
William

Welcome to VinoCellar. I haven't heard of the wine but if you find it in Italy just pack it securely in your checked luggage. You shouldn't have any problems except possibly overweight luggage.

Welcome to VC. Perhaps her memory is off, and she's simply remembering "Pinot Grigio."

Take an extra suitcase; there are no restrictions on bringing back olive oil.
