Dark color in the bottle, but clear gold with buttercup yellow rim in the glass.  Very expressive bouquet of botrytis with popcorn, pinapple, brown sugar, and honey.  Absolutely wonderful to smell, seemingly ageless.  Medium sweet, with similar flavors and a touch of acidity.  Medium plus concentration, and a long finish.  95 points.

Thanks for the note. I'm always on the lookout for '55s as they're birthyear wines for my wife and I. We enjoyed a couple of bottles of '55 Suduiraut afew years ago, and I noticed Premier Cru has some of the Climens in stock. Not cheap, but may be worth pulling the trigger ...

Was this a recent acquisition, or had you had the bottle for some time ?

It's from Premier Cru.  I believe it is from the same lot as their current stock, bought this about two months back.  Looked dark, but it was in great shape.  Good luck!
