| | When I saw this in the kitchen at my offices Quarter End party I got really excited. Unfortunately I have reason to expect that the bottle wasn't stored in ideal conditions. I think at 54 degrees this wine would have been drinking perfectly, in this case it was showing it's age. Most of the fruit was gone, but what was left was excellent. The structure was perfect, the mouth feel was delightful. The tannins and acidity complemented the earth tones of dirt and tobbaco, finishes with a bit of spice. It tasted like a Margaux grown in California. If the fruit was there it would have been a mid 90's point wine. Today it was about an 89, if you have any drink up - if stored well I would guess that this wine is just passing its peak. | | | |
