I posted a compilation of winery and vineyard locations on to Lou's thread on the Google earth community ... here.....

it will take some additional cleaning up and i am sure that there are some errors (many of the placemarkers are at the street address of the winery, via google, so there is some margin of error).

there is a bunch of California, some Washington, some Oregon, Missouri, Illinois, Virginia, New York, Bordeaux, and some McLaren Vale. some of my AVA groupings may need some help too.

My last post is the "cleanest" version (got rid of a bunch of dups and tried to break it out into some more AVA designations)....

It helps me to "see" where some of these places are located. visual aides are my friend.
fwiw...

Alex,
As you're using the network link version of the Bordeaux list I compiled some time ago, let me know if there are any changes you want made to it and I'll do so. Alternatively, if you prefer I am happy to send you the kml so you can maintain a network version somewhere.

JamesN,

Cool. It looks like you have done a great job. I am not as familiar with the locations in Bordeaux so there are no corrections or suggestions from my end.... Other people here may have comments. Luckily there is not much chance your list will change.

About 70-80 percent of the file that i posted is from previously organized lists, i linked to some of their pages on the Google community thread... if there is any problem with my including yours, PM me and I will take necessary measures (i.e. you would rather it be a kml file so it doesn't query your system). In any event, thank you very much for the resource. I for one appreciate it.

oh, and welcome to VinoCellar...

Alex

Alex, I have no problem with you including the link. IMO the network links are a superior method of including this type of content as any errors can be corrected centrally.
