| John Cleese's Wine for the Confused
This ought to be quite fun to watch. Here's a description--
"....Wine is cofusing, so our intrepid host John Cleese takes a witty personal look at the world of winemaking. He discovers how to find wines that taste good to you, how to get the best value, and how to keep and serve wine at home...."
Times it is airing---

| | Saw this last night. It was pretty good but it certainly focused on the beginner. Still, John Cleese makes almost anything fun/interesting/funny. Worth a look. | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| It is a good show for the uninitiated. That poor guy at Cleese's dinner will have people calling him with decanting questions for the rest of his life. The gal sommelier from Danko's looked aghast when he mentioned that people call his restaurant with those questions all the time. If it had more humor I'd be enthused, but found it boring. Cleese should have revealed the $5 wine and the $200 wine - that would have created some much-needed drama. | | | |

| The restaurant was Lucky's in Santa Barbara. Last time I ate there it was in one of their small rooms with two tables. Carol Burnett was at the other table. She wouldn't do Tarzan for me.
I heard that Christie Dufault has left Danko's. | | | |

| | I wanted to see that $200 bottle of wine. The show made some good points about "like what you like, not what others tell you you should like". | | | |
