That chat really wasn't all that great. I'm looking for a better one. If I can't find it shortly, I'll reimplement that one.

that chat was better than no chat!

I think it might be a good idea to 'schedule' chats, too. Where we could pick topics to discuss. Just a thought.

Sleepless in Bayonne... I'd pay $8.50 for that movie.

I like the chat feature too. I think it will be better once TJ finishes his membership drive. I believe a larger user base will help with participation. In time it's going to be a great feature. Now, it's a fun novelty that doesn't get used enough.

Ok, I'm working on a MUCH MUCH MUCH EXTREMELY MUCH BETTER chat solution...

People may need to get a separate client, but it'll be WORTH IT!
We'll be able to very easily hold scheduled chats, chats with winemakers, retailers, industry type folks... etc.etc. in a very uniform and efficient way.

Give me the weekend...... it's coming.

Note that not all of us use windows as our computing platform. So using a separate client may be a problem for some. This is what is great about using a web browser as the interface, everyone as access to it no matter what platform they are using.

No worries squid. It's the server side I have to figure out. The client side has literally hundreds of different clients for IRC. (Internet Relay Chat)

One of which, is a web enabled java browser that I will try to implement on the site. Other much more robust clients I'll make available, but won't be able to support very well besides general easy stuff.... connection information, etc.

IRC is a little quirky at first, but after that it is a breeze to use.

I'd like to see peoples' AIM addresses here. That is very useful for chat, too.

For the record, my AIM ID is 'rokheart'

we can be #vinocellar

or something

or we can all get AIM and start chats that way

but I like chatting, normally it's for my Battlefield 1942 clanmates, but wine is cool too
