I have the ones from a previous post on the subject, but that provided only 3 sites and 2 books. If you have any that you could recommend, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

The Renaissance Guide to Wine and Food Pairing
by Anthony Didio

apparently the author is a vet of the NYC restaurant scene. I haven't read it but heard it has some good tips.

Have you heard of The Wine Lover's Cookbook by Sid Goldstein?

Yes. That's one of the two books I had before Jump's recommendation. Thanks.

Oh. Sorry for the duplication. We just got one that Sarah said had food and wine pairings in it, but I can't find it. She may have taken it to work. I will find out what it is and post it.

FOUND IT! It's called All About Braising by Molly Stephens. At the end of each description of the dish before she goes into the recipe she has wine notes...for example...for the Top Blade Steaks smothered in Mushrooms and Onions she says, "Grenache blend from the southern Rhone (CdP, Vaqueyras and Lirac) or a rich Zinfandel or Shiraz."

Can't recommend because I haven't read them, but I think Andrea Immer has now published two on the subject.

Board-O,

It might not be up your ally bc it is all about Italian food and wine, BUT, Vino Italiano by Joseph Bainstaich (sp?) and David Lynch discusses Italian wines and pairs them with recipies by Linda Bainstaich and Mario Batali.

I have that book, too. I almost forgot about it. Need to dig it up as there are some great recipes in there, too, IIRC.

You do recall correctly Make the Montasio cheese torte. You don't need to make it in the smaller portions, you can make it in a nonstick 1 1/2 - 2 qt chef's skillet.

I haven't tried any of Batali's recipies yet, but I understand some of them are recipies used at Esca and even Babbo.

whiner, would you kindly post that recipe? It sounds like a great match with wine if it isn't overly eggy. Even if it is, I might be able to improvise. Tia

I got an Andrea Immer food and wine book from the library a few weeks ago (don't know which one, but it has her and a bowl of popcorn on the cover). Full of unhelpful information and somewhat puzzling rec's.
