I tried to search the travel/dining forum for St. Petersburg and it brought back every single post in that forum as a search result???? Should this happen? What am I doing wrong?

FYI --

Advanced Search Tips

Use +keyword for required keywords.
Use -keyword to exclude posts with a keyword.
Use quotes around a phrase to search for a phrase.

So for your search fred, you might want to put it in quotes since it's two words.
If it's not in quotes, it'll search for any post containing either word.

I really do not like the new search. If I search for -1999 Siduri- I get every wine that says -1999-. I probably just don't understand how to use it. Is there something else I should be doing?

Just put what you are searching for in quotes if it's more than one word.
