| That's a firewall issue if I remember correctly. Others just got a patch or updated their software and it started working I think.
TJ might have more info on this one. If he disables the firewall software and tries to post does it work? | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter....

| I get that message every time I have Norton Internet Security running. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| I believe there is a way around it.... to keep the firewalling running but fix the error. I'm waiting for a couple other guys who've had this problem to sign on. :-) they can help us! | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| Lets see if this works!
Okay I posted this with my privacy control off. It is telling me that VC is not a secure site?

| I remember something similar to this. I had to modify some settings within the firewall software to allow things to flow freely with this site. I use Symantec/Norton Personal Firewall. I willl look at my settings when I get home and will try to remember to post about what I find. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| Nope, VC isn't using a security certificate (we don't sell anything) so that's a true statement. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| More specifically within my privacy settings, disabling "Browser privacy" allows me to post. Leaving "Enable secure Connections (https)" enabled has no affect. | | | |

| We are only using standard http which is port 80 and is not a secure protocol. https needs a security certificate and uses port 443, but we aren't using that.
It's ok to disable some of the privacy settings.... Just don't post credit card numbers on the site and you'll be ok. :-) | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter....

| Yes, I do remember this problem. And, TJ did resolve it. It was Norton related. People: Again, I suggest McAfee. Never a problem. | | | |
