I don't know if anyone's brought this to Brad's attention, but the display name is not showing - instead, the first and last name displays.  Lucky for me, that is not a problem.Â

I posted something in the Feedback Center about this. As you have discovered, the fix (for now) is to take your "old" display name and reconfigure it as your "real name" in your profile. I set myself up as First name: Jimmy and Last name: V.  Stemor set himself up as ste mor.  Winetex set herself up as wine tex. You did jaime town.  Until the problem is fixed, this seems like the best way for us to be recognized as who we once were. (That and the avatars. Bullwinkle rules!).
Beta testing a new signature.

is this an attempt to get around usernames à la ebob? i have no problem showing my name, so long as these forums block search engines and the like.

Sadly, you are right, JimmyV. I had always dreamed that one day I would be recognized for who I will eventually become, but I think I will just give up on that now.

hmm....  ya...  when I did the copy from the old, it replaced file names from the new.  I'll restore the new ones.  Thanks! Â

Winetex, so things like this don't get lost in the shuffle, the Feedback Center is meant to track suggestions like this, with an open/closed and implemented or not status.  Feel free to put your suggestions in there...  that way I definitely won't miss them! Â
