I hope this is an okay topic for this forum....

I want to post tasting notes from a riesling tasting I went to that had u.s., alsatian, german, and austrian wines. Is it okay to post to multiple boards, or should I split the notes up, or should I post to one of the "other" tn boards?

Thanks,

raybanz

Raybanz,

First, thanks for your eagerness to post notes! That said, what I would encourage you to do is to break out each TN in the appropriate forum rather than cross posting one long post in all forums.

If you really want to get fancy you can link them all together in the Wine Events furum as I have donehere

As a fellow member of the board I very much appreciate it when a member takes the time to post tasting notes separately into the proper forums. Even if the note is so short as "I really liked this wine" I still prefer a separate note. It helps the Search function tremendously later on when I want to reference that note. It also sometimes spurs others to comment where they may not have bothered to post a full fledge note previously.

If TJ agrees, then so do I! Well, not just because of TJ, but still...that message should be clear.

Raybanz, Welcome. Ditto what they said above. Taking the time to post where each wine belongs is appreciated. I don't check every region regularly, just the ones I am partial to. Please post often.

I'd just like to remind folks why it is preferable to have individual TNs (rather than grouped) in their respective forums.

Two reasons actually. Right now, doing so makes searching for notes on a particular wine much easier. More importantly however is Revlis' plans for this site. I can't get specific ('cause I really don't know the specifics) but this site is going to provide the most kick-ass TNs database on the web. You will be able to search notes from a particular member, or all notes excluding a particular member, and much, much more. It's going to be very cool.
