CTRL-V doesn't work. Selecting PASTE from the menu brought up a PASTE FROM WORD popup
 but every time I tried to paste into it I got a bizarre URL. Had to restart Firefox to fix it.

This is an issue with the FireFox browser, in that they have extra security enabled that most other browsers do not.
 
I've created a help article a little while ago when Winetex had the issue.   Follow this link for the fix:
