There was an outage today for the site due to the New York area Speakeasy network having problems.  Nothing occurred on the servers or the Vinocellar network.  No information was lost.

I apologize for the inconvenience!

Hm.. if anyone knows what the error was, please let me know. The system "recycles" itself after a period, so if there was a problem, it was taken care of by itself it seems. Any info that can be provided will be helpful however, to see if I can find out what it was, and perhaps fix it.

Well, I scoured the logs, did find "something" though I'm not sure this caused any issue. Though I did look it up and implemented the fix anyway...
Thanks.

When I checked around 4:00am through 6:00am PDT, vinocellar timed out on Firefox with an error that was something like "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for vinocellar.com in a way that will never complete". My guess is there was some problem with the cookies, maybe associated with the auto-login.

Ok... thanks! There are some further updates to the "base" software I can apply... will do it within a week. That should help, plus the change I've already made.

I changed hosting providers... trying to make the costs of Vinocellar cheaper.

Down again today.  Is this the point were I make a wise crack and ask "Is it 50% cheaper because it's only up half a day at a time?"Â

Sorry I beat you to the punch Dave.Â

Brad, might I suggest getting TWO hamster wheels, instead of just the one, to keep the lights on?

Is hosting that expensive? Just curious. You can get the software that quite a few forums use, with hosting included, for a very, very reasonable fee per month....
