| I was hoping the new board would restore some of the functionality of the old board. For example, when I clicked on a thread with a new post it would take me directly to the first unread post. Beta1 didn't do that. If this is Beta2, I don't think it does this either. Rats! | | |

| Dave,
For some reason, you didn't have "Jump to First Unread Post" checked in your forum profile. I've just changed this for you. Hopefully it will behave better now.
Regarding the red... well, I'll be modifying the colors as we go... feel free to leave some suggestions. :-) | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter....

| Hmmm. All of the topics are now red. If you hit the 'mark all read' button, the topics are still red! The unread topics used to be 'bold', and 'mark all read' un-bolded them. | | | |

| 'Go to first unread' is checked in my profile, but it still doesn't work for me.
Do we need to clear cookies to take advantage of the new features?

| I like garish red. I don't think the "Jump to First Unread" works for me yet. I'll try marking all posts as read and see if it works going forward. Thanks! | | | |

This should start working going forward. Worked for me on this thread.
Not sure about clearing cookies...I did not have to, but it never hurts it seems. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter....

| How do you know a section has unread posts? I don't see an indicator anywhere. Once you go into a section that has unread posts I see the little red indicator on the individual threads. Is there one for the sections? | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| Interesting. One just popped up on the EAW section after JimmyV made a post. Do you have to of read the section first at some point before the section level indicators start working? Posted By wineismylife on 05/08/2007 8:57 AM

This was just fixed.... unread posts are now BOLD.... read posts are now regular text. The folder icons also indicate read/unread status.

| One thing I've noticed about jumping to the first unread post. It works like a charm if there is one in that thread. However, if there are none in that thread it just takes you to the first post of the thread. I'm thinking most would prefer it to take you to the last post in the thread? Maybe? Thoughts people? | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| I completely agree.... I'm hoping we can get a separate little icon that will "Jump to Last Post" so that there is a choice to click on the regular link and go to the first post.... or click on the icon which jumps right to the last. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

For me it works about 80% of the time. Unfortunately I haven't figured out the algorithm...

| Site looks great! However, the red really stands out. Is there a "work mode" skin? | | | |
