| Two problems, I seem to need to login every time I visit, the check box to remember my login is not giving me the right cookie I'm betting
Second as I move around the site I'm being logged out. For instance I went to my home, then hit the tab to change my password, and I was logged out. I then returned to the list of forums and was still logged out. I logged back in, drilled down in a forum and was logged out again. | | | Paul Romero - Owner/Winemaker Stefania Wine<br>www.stefaniawine.com |

| I'm having the same problem with respect to login not being remembered. I tried clearing all my cookies, coming back to the site, logging back in (while selecting remember login), and I still need to log in each time I return.
I'm not having problems with being logged out as I maneuver around the site, however.

| I'm having the same problems as Paul Romero.
I suspect its discrimination against new winery owners but I'll withhold judgement. I'd insert a smiley here if I could figure out how. | | | Randy Sloan<br>Match Vineyards

| Yep... ok, sorry guys... I'm working on this. This logout thing and cookie issue is definitely my top priority. Randy To get smileys, click the "reply" link in this thread.... If you use the "quick reply" box on the bottom, you have to know the "code" to put in... like : roll : with no spaces or something like that. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| Ok, I've made the "PersistentCookieTimeout" equal to one year.... let me know if this helps. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| It wouldn't be that bad having to log in everytime if my password wasn't a long 12 character alphanumeric string that I don't seem to be able to change. Also, somehow my screen name changed to "FirstNLastN"? I know at least one other person it's happened to.

From the poster formerly know as "Rigga" I ran a script to update blank First names and last names... in this way people can click on their name in the upper right hand corner and correct everything.... Let me know if you have any issues.... | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter....

| I noticed that the log-in dump occurs more often when I back out of a folder using my "back" keys or mouse keys. For navigation it's quicker than refreshing the entire page or forum.
But more often than not when I back out from a post in a folder to the Forums page I'm no longer logged in.

| Thanks for the updates...
FYI - I'll be upgrading the site sometime during the week next week... some improvements have been made in this area. We'll see how it does and go from there. It's about a 5 minute update. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter....

| Not sticky. I've had to log in the last 10 or so times, even after clicking "remember me." I try and make mean faces at the screen, wondering if I can intimidate the software, but it's not working. | | | |

| Same here (without the mean faces). Is there a way to change my password to something I can actually remember? | | | |

| Drew - flush your cookies to see if that helps. It helps me.
David - click on your name in the top right corner of the screen (just under search). You will see a link that says "Manage Password". Click there and you can change your password. Under profile you can add in your city, avatar and all that good stuff.

| Same thing happened to me and I removed the cookies on Brad's advice and it seemed to fix things for the moment. If you're using Firefox you can delete just the cookies for VC as well which makes it fairly painless.
