| My DNS server crapped out for good, hence the downtime. The new server that Vinocellar runs on is just fine.
I've moved the DNS to a permanent solution, an outside DNS Registrar now hosts it.
Sorry for the downtime everyone! | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... |

| Sorry David. I try to see what people are doing (posting or just reading).. perhaps you went off the "Who's Online" screen. If it happens again, keep the error screen, and hit refresh after a few minutes. It'll repost the data to the server. Alternatively, in the post edit screen, do a Ctrl+A, then a Ctrl+C to copy the post. Then if it doesn't work, just ctrl+V into the screen again when the server is back up. If I had a 24 hour computer staff I'd sure have them do these things at 4am... but I don't. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| Just curious - what caused the latest outage? Nothing too serious I hope. | | | http://scmwine.blogspot.com - My wine blog.
http://scmwine.wikispaces.com - your guide to the Santa Cruz Mountains and Santa Clara Valley
| |

| Turns out a HUGE storm rolled through the area... power was out... and many of my surge protectors died.... only losing a power supply was I think a good thing... could've lost the whole house from what people are telling me... was like a 1/2 hour hurricane. Too bad I missed all the fun... lol. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |
