So yeah there's a lot of forums. And they have a tiered structure. Which means, if I'm understanding this site right, that to get from one lowest tier forum, say:

100% wine -> Everything About Wine

to

Off Topic -> Random Thoughts

I have to use my browser's back button. Which doesn't refresh. And it gets tough to get around this way. If there were some sort of pull-down menue that displays and expands like a folder with files within, similating the higher tier forum subjects like TN-NA (not to be confused with TNA) expanding to all the forum subject boards, that would make forum navigation much easier.

Or something.

But on the other hand it's my honest opinion that there's too many forums. Maybe I just need to get more familiar with them, but that's not really noob friendly. But I guess this site isn't for noobs.

Also, is 'I want to preview my post' always checked?

And is my avatar going to be too esoteric or should i change it?

a. There is absolutely a way to navigate via a pull-down menu from 1 topic to another.

---On the bottom of your screen (if you scroll down), right-hand side, you will see "Jump To" pull-down box. Click on that box & you will notice every single topic in these Forums. Let me know if you find it...

b. It is checked, but you can uncheck it if you want.

...You will get used to the Navigation. No BIG Deal, @ all. It is designed that way purposely so that if a person is ONLY interested in a certain topic, he/she does Not have to search through pages & pages or unrelated material. You will like it very soon. You will see...

I think you can setthe 'preview your post' check box to being unchecked all the time if you update one of your profile settings. Pretty easy.

Yes. If you go to "my home", you can change a lot of the settings.

I like the preview-thing. I keep it ON.

Don't forget the little Index button in between previous and next. You never have to use the back button on the browser in these forums. Also use the "main index" button at the top, to go to the top level.

I find it a little cumbersome to wander through here, but I can live with it.

The number of forums is a bit much, too, butmaybe that will change with time, too.

I wonder, is it possible to "explode" all of the forums to be listed on one page so you can get a 'world view' of all the forums? This would allow you to see all new posts, threads, most viewed, best rated messages all at a glance. Just a thought.

Let me preface my complaint by saying what a wonderful accomplishment this site is. My complaint is there are far too many forums and it becomes difficult to keep up with all the topics. Is some consolidation out of the question?
