| As great as Germany's 2001 vintage was, and as much interest is being kindled in German wines in general, doesn't that country deserve to stand apart from the "other" clump?

| An argument could be made for Italy as well (not that I'm making it). I suspect that after the 2001's have all arrived and been sold, the interest will dwindle significantly (except for GATC, of course, whose time will be spent writing countless tasting notes complete with AP's ). | | | |

| Seaquam, There already is a "Tasting Notes" area for Italy. It's located alphabetically below where Revlis is going to put the area for German notes. | | | Cheers, y'all | |

| And I have been uncharacteristically active there, I might point out, due to the tasting we did at Babbo last month. Armmar too. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| Stemor, what is this "alphabetically"? Does that mean that things go in the same order as the letters of the alphabet? Geez, when did someone invent that system? Well, at least I can spell "duh" correctly. I am SO ashamed.... | | | |

| We've heard your requests, heard the arguments for yay and nay, and have sumarily decided not to add a German TN section at this time. Once the onslaught of the 2001 German vintage is over, history shows there won't be many more German TN's. (for another 30 years perhaps!) :-)
Further, the forthcoming evolution of this site may make it unnecessary since you'll have very advanced search capability. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| Even as a German riesling fanatic, I have agree on this one. Even though I bought 40+ cases, I only bought wines from 6-7 producers (I have 10+ cases of Christoffel Urziger Wurzgarten alone). I've already bought assuming that there will not be another year like this for 30 years, and all of the top values are already gobbled up. | | | |
