Now that things are moving along nicely, I want to start adding some more value to Vinocellar.

Yikes... the BLANK entry is supposed to be: "Bed and Breakfast List with User Comments"

Seems you can't use quotes in the options.

Yea TBird, I see you've been busy hitting up all the NYC restaurants now that you are in the area...

So which character would you be?

I voted for the TN database and restaurant listing

but these would only be most valuable if a link to the best active thread discussion was possible IMO. I'd think that the moderators could do a job merging some threads that cover the same restaurants together possibly...for example. Or especially merging duplicate TN threads.

With the new forums, there is a really cool new feature... in which I can display a Restaurants information, and on the same page, right below it, display the thread that pertains to the restaurant so discussions can continue.

The same thread will also of course be displayed in the regular forums.

Sound good?

Absorutly! Could they be separated in sub-threads (I just made that term up) by state. That sure would make it easy to look up all the restaurants in one particular location where one is planning to visit.

I would like to see right off the bat the "last thread read" thingie improved from what it is now (only acceptable) to what we had in the beginning.

Easy and quick navigation is the NUMBER ONE priority for me.

The go to first unread feature is already there... and better than here.

Will definitely be able to search by state. :-) Or.. sort by state... or lots of other things.

The Google ad at the top of the page this morning is incredibly distracting and takes up too much browser space. Bleh.

Voted for the last five on the list.

Also one vote to move the ads to the end of the page. Right now I see Wine ads??? Nope a plastic surgeon in NJ, Refinance my car, and Wine Spectator magazine. BLEH!!!!!

I would find much value in polls that were easier to create.

I voted for Restaurants and Tasting Notes.

Ya know what really is really sucking around here?

The Registered Users Only forum.

While this is the perfect place to bring in exculsive retailer offers, special guests(!), winery special offers, etc., the section goes completely ignored. With all due respect, use it or remove it, as it is it's pointless.

I tend to agree. And WinoDepot has a great idea in the Winery Blog section they have over there.

Maybe - but it doesn't get used often with new content - its value will diminish rapidly.
