I don't kown about the why nor wherfore (and i expect this has come up before)- but the one feature that bugs me is not being able to edit after 24 hours. For me it's not about anything other than correcting typos and spelling errors. I'm obssessive that way.

I find it annoying too. At least make it a few days or a week....

I think it is fine (if not perfect) the way it is. Just read your post after posting it.
