Are the Vinocellar forums consistently slowing down for you each day/week/month? I bet you have a lot of unread msgs then.

If you mark all messages as read (an option in the "My Home" section of the site), the site speed will dramatically increase, especially when looking at the Main Index.

I'd have far fewer unread messages without the Random Thoughts section.

I can't ignore unread posts. I need to read them, even if I only scan them. I avoid whole forums that start to get unmanageably big until I have enough time set aside to handle reading all of the queued up messages.

Man... today is the only day on record I've ever fallen out of my chair laughing..... a moderator made me do it today.... and now irwin has.... two bumps on the head!!!!

Ugh, now my stomach hurts from laughing to hard. I think I just woke up the neighbors kids.

Hhuh haanh hhhack! <<<hairball>>>>

Actually, Rev, clearing out the messages sure does improve things. After I waded through 600+ posts in the Everything wine section, things did get a bit better.
