Dinner reservations were at 6:30 pm at Olives in the Bellagio.

My wife and I arrived separately and met outside the restaraunt.
I had never met Adam Lee, but I recognized him from pictures.
I was then greeted by WIML, Joe, who if you haven't seen him lately, looks great.
Joe told me he lost 60 lbs since we had lunch about a year ago. Way to go Joe!!

Wine served;
2002 Roar Pinot Noir Garys' Vyd (I brought it)
2002 Radio-Coteau Pinot Noir Savoy Vyd (Joe brought that)

Wine brought by Adam Lee;
2003 Siduri Pinot Noir Muirfield Vyd - Oregon
2003 Siduri Pinot Noir Rosella Vyd
2003 Siduri Pinot Noir Garys' Vyd
2003 Siduri Pinot Noir Keefer Ranch Vyd
2003 Siduri Pinot Noir Olivet Grange Vyd
2003 Novy Syrah Garys' Vyd
2003 Novy Grenache Judge Family Vyd; aka Work Your Ass Off Vyd; aka Rat's Ass Vyd

I think there might have been another Siduri Pinot and Novy Syrah poured, but I wasn't taking any formal notes. The following is my impressions of the wines.

The first 2 wines opened were the Muirfield and the Rosella.
The Muirfield had wonderful floral aromas and great fruit on the first taste.
It had the finesse I have come to expect from Oregon Pinots.
After letting the wine sit in my glass for a few minutes and swirling it around,
my wife and I were both getting a bitter taste that was not there at first.
My wife thought she tasted something bad in her glass. She was sitting next to Joe and asked him if he was getting anything unusual and he said no.
I then tasted the Rosella and got a bitter taste also. My wife and I asked the waiter to take away our glasses and replace them with new ones. They kindly did.

The next two bottle opened up were the 2 Garys' Vyd Pinots. Adam reminded everyone that he makes the wine for Roar at the Siduri facility.
The Roar Garys' Pinot initially had a very strong barnyard aroma compared to lighter fruit aromas coming out of the Siduri Garys'. The Roar barnyard aromas blew off after a little bit of time.
The Roar Garys' had some very strong fruit on the front and a well-balanced finish.
The Siduri Garys' was a little more reserved than the Roar. At this point I was enjoying the Roar better than the Siduri. After a short period of time, the Siduri Garys' really started to open up to a silky, smooth pinot with great fruit on the finish. The Roar was still showing well, but my wife and I both agreed the Siduir Garys' was drinking much better. They were both great pinots.

The next wines poured were the Radio-Coteau Savoy Pinot and the Novy Grenache Judge Family Vyd; aka Work Your Ass Off Vyd; aka Rat's Ass Vyd.
The Savoy pinot had very exotic floral aromas followed by a rich smooth taste of fruit with excellent balance. The Novy Grenache was very strong with some tannins on the finish. I didn't take too many sips of the grenache because I was too busy enjoying the Savoy Pinot.

The next wine poured was the Siduri Keefer Ranch Pinot and the Novy Garys' Syrah.
The Keefer Ranch was a deep, rich intense Pinot with very strong fruit and some tannins on the finish.
The Keefer was a very exciting complex pinot.

The Novy Garys' Syrah was very smooth right out of the bottle. It had great depth of blackberry fruit for a great finish.

The next wine tasted was the Siduri Olivet Grange Pinot. I could not believe this wine was more intense, rich and exciting than the Keefer. This wine was a blockbuster. I believe the Keefer and the Olivet need some time in the bottle to smooth out the tannins, but they were showing amazingly well for only being opened for a small amount of time.

I think my WOTN would have to be the Radio-Coteau. For a wine that was a year older than all of the Siduri's poured, it was drinking absolutely great.

Of all the Siduri's were outstanding and I would have to choose the Gary's Pinot as my favorite.
In a 2-3 years the Keefer and Olivet are going to be outstanding.

I was glad to meet and talk a little bit with Rob, wino4ever.
Thanks to Joe for the initial invitation.
A huge thanks to Adam for sharing his great wines.

Thanks for starting the thread AllHooKoo! I've been running from place to place since I got here and haven't even been able to read VinoCellar for two days now. I'm only about 1,000 posts behind.

I had a fantastic time. It was great to see AllHooKoo and SiduriWines again and a real pleasure to finally meet wino4ever. I don't know why I have this strange habit of meeting fellow Texas winos out of state.

I have a complete list of the wines and I'm just about through typing up my very rudimentary notes on each so I'll try to get those posted soon.

Hey it was great to meet all y'all live and in person!
Just got back last night with money in my pocket - Woo-hoo! (okay it was the money I brought but that's a win in my book.)

A big thanks to Adam for setting up the dinner and bringing so much tasty wine. And also thanks to Joe and Alonzo for bringing some fine bottles as well.

fwiw, I really seemed to favor the Rosella's and the RC PN's. I also really liked the Gary's Syrah (reminded me of why I purchased it at the recent wine dinner) anf the WYAO, aka Rat's Ass, aka Judge family Syrah - great stuff.

No notes here, just fond memories.

Thanks again all.
