| Hmmmm...I could've sworn I posted this. Oh well. Anyway, this is a cut and past from the WS forums, sorry for the dupe folks. Stemor and I were doing a healthy amount of recruiting last night, so hopefully we'll see some new folks on this forum soon.
The Boston wine were up to their same old tricks last night. This time, for the holiday season, we decided to do Champagne, Cali cabs, and ports. WOW!
In attendence were: ZZZeke Boston (and Mrs.), Rigga (and Mrs.), Boston 1918 (and Mrs.), Decanter, Yossarian, emmottram, TuaRita99 (and Mrs.) and, obviously, myself. We were also pleased to welcome stemor, of international tasting event fame, to our wine club. We really enjoyed having you, stemor.
Some highlights of the evening were an '89 VC Grande Dame, '99 Chimney Rock Elevage (Zeke's suprise wine of the night), '85 Fonseca vintage, and a '77 Barros Cohleita tawny.
Somehow I was trusted with a big pile of tasting notes and I've been nominated as Club scribe for this event. Rest assured this a title I do not want, nor do I plan to continue at our next meeting.
I'll try to sort through the notes and compile some coherent notes this afternoon. I'll be out of town this upcoming week, so if it doesn't happen today, it won't be done for another week.
Again, an HUGE thanks to Zeke and Mrs. Zeke for be such gracious hosts and for welcoming us into their home. I know everyone shares the same sentiments.
Looking forward to Januarary, we'll be doing Piedmont.

| Too bad, Whitey, you're busted. No real action shots here, just faces and names put together. Boston Dinner faces The last picture has Yossarian standing and emottram sitting in the lower right. Sorry for the quality of the shots, guys. I think you probably need a Yahoo! account to sign in ... | | | Cheers, y'all | |
