Re-birth of the NJ crew will be on Sun. Jan 4th at 7 pm at Tre Vigne in Bernardsville. The theme will be all Australian wines, except Shiraz. So bring a great Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauv. Blanc, Semillion, Viognier, Pinot, Cab, Merlot, Grenache, Mourvedre, Muscat, Tokay, whatever. Just don't bring a wine with Shiraz in it.

We will be doing gatherings every first Sun of each month. We will change locations and one upcoming event may be in NYC at Le Petite Triomphe (no corkage). So who's in?

We'd like to come, but Sunday nights 60 miles away won't work for us. We might be able to make the NYC events. What about Saturday nights? Aren't they better for everybody?

The Pennsylvania neighbors would have trouble with Sundays as well.
We'd need to stay over somewhere.
Hey, if Sundays work out best for the majority, so be it!

I work Sat nights. Mudpuppy can commiserate.

Since I'm getting the ball rolling, the first one will stay Sun night. We can alternate some Sat nights as well later on. The NY one will definitely be Sat night. Maybe Feb. We'll see.

Also, Rev and I ate at Tre Vigne on a Sun night and they had a 3 course $30 menu that was great. Hopefully, they are still doing that and we can keep this reasonable. I'll call them and figure that out.

So far...

JB...

Just to keep things clear, I believe the first Sunday in January is the 4th, not the 3rd.

Sunday nights shoots down this far flung traveler. But, I can still make the occasional Sat. events.

Yeah, I guess we're out for Sunday nights also, although we might be able to make a Sunday night in NYC. My wife gets up at 5:30 AM during the week.

Sounds great, JB.

However, Sunday is a problem. Keeps us posted about Sat events.

Can't find babysitters on Sun. nites, though my 8 yr. old would love to join us. Took him out for a fancy dinner and he was wondering why the waiter didn't give him a wine glass. I'm in trouble already !!

There will be Saturdays in the future, as I said before. This is just a casual Sun gathering. Whoever can make it great. If not, maybe next time.
