Count us in for 2. Depending on the election we will be drinking to celebrate, or drinking to inebriate, but in either case we'll be drinking.

Menu looks fun.

Let us know, also if there is a theme...

Cafe Soizic isn't giving an inch on corkage. So now I'm talking to Cafe Liaison in Berkeley.

http://www.liaisonbistro.com/dinner.htm

This cafe has a nice atmosphere, not too expensive and is wine friendly. Also, about 3 blocks from the downtown Berkeley BART station. I will find out more details hopefully on Monday when the manager calls back.

Let's wait until I hear from the restaurant before we decide on a theme.

What a brilliant menu. We are looking forward to it. I'll be happy to bring some sauternes. Sounds like a very wine favorable menu...maybe do grab bag wines? I think I could bring any wine in my cellar and it would go well with something on this list.

See y'all soon.

OK, here's the scoop:

Cost will be right around $57-59 per person. (The break down is $40 + sales tax + 20% service + $5 corkage for 1 bottle)

Menu will be 3 course pre fixe.

Are we interested? If we are, I will have to sign a contract and give them a credit card, so PLEASE CONFIRM.

THIS MEANS THAT YOUR NEXT POST WILL BE THE POINT OF NO RETURN AND YOU WILL BE ON THE HOOK AS I PERSONALLY DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR AN EXTRA MEAL IF YOU WILL NOT BE ATTENDING AT THE LAST MINUTE!
