| Don't dismiss this immediately. I think a nice dinner could be built around dessert wines. Due to their sweetness, maybe an entree with a red could be served after an appetizer of sauteed foie gras with Sauternes. Then several dessert courses, consisting forst of fruit, maybe with an auslese, then a creamy dessert, like a creme brulee or cheesecake with another Sauternes or ice wine, then a selection of chocolate, nuts, and full-flavored cheeses with several Ports. | | |

| Love the idea Board-O. I'll start running now. Let me know when the dinner is so I can stop running long enough to shower. That will be the most decadent wine dinner ever.

| We won't need diets. 2 days of nothing but water should yield a break even. | | | |

| heh. I was just talking about this very same thing last night with Seek1, because we were discussing doing a comparison between the $16 a bottle buller and chambers Tokay.
This would be very educational for me. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| I like the idea, but we've been involved with so many wine dinners over the last 1/2 year or so that I'm constantly battling my weight. I work out 7 days a week and I'm up 15 pounds. If I keep up like this, my clothes won't fit. It's a constant battle- and we're having a Superbowl party here this Sunday, then the Jersey Zin dinner. Then 9 days in Florida eating out every night, then the Massachussets dinner. What's a fat bastard to do? | | | |

| In all the years I've been doing wine dinners, I've been at one where the wines were all sweet. I suppose there could be one course with a dry wine. It would have to be carefully orchestrated, maybe with a moderately sweet Alsatian for one course, then foie gras with Sauternes, and a fruit and cheese course. Sounds very fattening. | | | |
