| Actually, we were just discussing last night how the boys would like a trip to Kings Island and Cedar Point (a few hours from PIT, sure, but maybe we could work Kenneywood into the itinerary, too. My friend is from Ft. Wayne, I have friends in Columbus and Cleveland, and we both have friends and/or family in Cincinnati. So, we're going to plan a Lake Erie/I-71 tour for sometime this summer. And, what would that be without wine?!? | | | Cheers, y'all | |

| ojeffso,
Those dates would be perfect for me, too ... I think.
PLEASE tell me you're not going to PIT for business. That market's a mess distributor-wise, and generally not the the size and sophistication of customers that you're used to.

| Stemor:
Cedar Point? Now you're talkin', big guy! I grew up in Lorain, halfway between Cleveland and Cedar Point (Sandusky). We are trying to plan a trip back in July or August, so I am watching this thread very carefully. As AI knows, since we have had some PMs about a side trip to PIT while we are back.
And with the Cedar Point reference, I hope you are a coaster jockey...

| Mike, When I found Cedar Point I knew that I was home. I'm annoyed by parks with crap that gets between me and the 'coasters. Thus, I generally avoid Kings Island and any other Paramount / Six Flags venture ... too commercial, not enough action. Cedar Point(NYSE: FUN ... gotta love that ticker symbol!) is THE Coaster Park. Period. I knew nothing about it before moving to Ohio in '94, but I immediately realized why it is acclaimed as the best Coaster Park in the world. WOW! And to think the newest construction ( "Top Thrill Dragster: Race for the Sky" ) goes to 120+ MPH, yet another record for this trend-setting park. So, see you there! | | | Cheers, y'all | |

| I remember going to Kenneywood as a 12 year old. My brother and I rode the Racer and were 6" off the seat for the last half of the big hill (the one with the dip in the middle). The start of the Thunderbolt, which is very unusual. Back in the days when you weren't strapped in so tight there is no way in hell you could fall out. Only a loose leather strap held us in. They didn't use shoulder harnesses.
Ahh, the memories.

| Hmmm, maybe next summer we need to plan an offline at CP! Though I am sure I would not want to drink wine before going on the coasters...
MudPuppy, sounds like we are from the same vintage, give or take. Though I have been back to CP many times since. Hoping I can go this summer too.
