Hey DC Cru...

Pat, Anil, and I willl be in DC the first two weeks of May. I know that it is early, but it seems to take the Cru more time than most to plan and organize Additionally, it helps us with post counts!

More seriously though, we would love to have a cru gathering on either May 5th or May 12th. The middle of the week is out of the question for now.

Any takers?

Additionally, I need to go and hit up my storage in DC and pull about a case of wine, which I am more than happy to share with everyone.

i will be out of town the weekend of the 5th for a wedding. That is all i know this far in advance... and I am surprised to know that... but i might be able to put in one body in for the 12th....

You know that Mrs. T and I are most definitely looking forward to your arrival in town. I'm returning from Tanzania on May 5th so the 12th will work for us.

I was hoping my wife would be taking me out for my birthday that weekend, but she is going to be out of town at a conference, so I'd love to raise a glass or ten with you on the 12th if we can.

i seem to be in the minority, but i likely have other plans for 5/12, but 5/5 is wide open.

I'm potentially up for either date at the moment. For a while now I've been considering inviting some forumites over the house and perhaps doing a pot luck or a barbeque and/or such (no corkage fee...)...and its too early for me to commit to that date yet (and needs to be in warmer weather - cus its nice out on the screened in porch and we have capacity for lots of folks...) - and I'd like jaimitown (I've been thinking Spanish & Tapas as well!) and some of the other local folks to be able to make it - but it might be a possibility (if there is interest). We live in Herndon BTW....If not then maybe in June or July...

Right now, I am good for the 5th or the 12th. I can't do anything from the 19th to 26th though. Totally tied up. And the last few days of the month I always reserve this for anniversary stuff with me and Mrs. TJ ( ).

So we have decided on May 12th, that works well for me since Karen will be away that weekend.  How about Equinox, we haven't been in a while.

Din... Sounds good to me. I've never been there and isn't Equinox the joint where the Cru had their first offline some years back? We could tell them that this is an "anniversary" dinner"...maybe they'll comp our dessert and put a candle in each one? T-Rep

Actually it was 4 years ago tomorrow (3/29/03) and called VC Rocks Equinox.  If I remember correctly my wine of the night was the 94 MonteBello, but I brought a 98 Chateau Behere.

Equinox sounds fine to us.  We have never been.
