| Yet another "Frankie goes to" reference! He's in town and I'd like to give him a warm DC Cru welcome. So if anyone is free the week of July 12-14 (Tues-Thurs), I'd love to organize an off-line in his honor. I'd love to throw in the theme "old world" for this event. Yes, anything from Europe is game, including Frankie's favorite, Italians!
I haven't nailed down a place to go for this offline, but I have several ideas, and I'll post soon - I promise it's gonna be a place that the DC Cru hasn't dined yet.

| Ya guys wanna do KOMI? I think I can arrange something with Sebastian there... we'll probably cap the number of attendees to 8-10 though (small restaurant). Frankie, you can read KOMI reviews here: Washingtonian WA Post | | | |

| i'm sorry you'll miss it too din. i'd love to make the rhone nite, but i'll be myrtle beach playing the father/son golf tourney.
jaime, thanks for the leads on the restaurants. i'm planning on bringing an 86 meyney i procured from seek (first bottle i'll open from him) with the promise of a TN, a joint TN would be even better from the CRU. then another bottle to fit the theme of the evening. as jaime alluded, i like italians!

| Wow, TWO european themed DC Cru events in one month?!?
I am interested, but can't commit 100% in advance because of work. If it is limited to a small group, I probably shouldn't take a spot if it can be filled by someone who is sure they can come.
That said, if there is room for a "definitely interested maybe" then put me down.

| Yes Ray, I am trying hard to fight the complete Californification of the DC Cru. I'll go and figure something out with the manager at Komi tomorrow. Any preference on the dates? 7/12 through 7/14 (Tues-Thurs). Corkage, if I can wax out an appearance by JohnnyB, that would be a feat. Frankie, if you need tips on other places to eat near where you are staying, let me know. Definites: Jaimetown Frankie Corkage Maybes: Raybanz JohnnyB | | | |

| Depending on the wife's recovery from a c-section (slated for June 22...I know, i know, TMI), I'd love to make this event. Put me down as a Maybe, but don't let me take a definite's spot. | | | "We are the Hokies!" | |

| Any one of those nights is fine with me. When JohnnyB and I hit this place for lunch (back when they first opened and were still serving lunch) we asked about corkage and they said (at that time) that $10 (maybe some waived) if we talked to the manager. Just food for thought, I ain't worried about paying corkage. | | | |

| All of those nights are open for me. I'm not worried either. Corkage if you will attend, I'll pay you $20. | | | |

| For what? I'll pay corkage but not Corkage, if you get my drift. | | | "It's better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in." -- Lyndon Johnson | |

| Well, here's the story with Komi - it's a small joint so the biggest party they can accomodate is 6. We can do two tables or we can do somewhere else.
