| I thought that I'd start a new thread about Mrs. T-Rep and I having the DC Cru over the house in January, since my original post was on the December dinner thread. Sorry for the hijack...
I realize that mid-January is about 6 weeks away, but wanted to get the ball rolling and revisit this as we get closer. It looks like Saturday, January 22nd is the best Saturday evening for us in January. Some of you had already replied to my earlier post that you'd like to attend but I had to revise the date by a week. Hope this still works.
The theme is unknown at this point and having attended a few dinners at Corkage's house and a recent offline at Doc's house, the bar has been raised. The pressure's already on and Mrs. T-Rep is racking her brain as to what to do, but we'll think on it and advise as we get closer.
So come one, come all. All DC Cruites and other VC'ers that might be in the DC area are certainly most welcome.

| Looking forward to it! If I am able to make it (which I'm pretty sure I can), let me know if you need help (esp. with stemware and such). | | | |

| Count we in presently as a tentative 1. Gotta check the schedule with Mrs. TJ and also see if she's free, too. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| Thanks for the quick replies.....
Mrs. T-Rep and I mulled over what type of theme for the evening and are leaning heavily towards Italy. Unless we have some sort of epiphany, we'll most likely go down that path.
For those of you with spouses that have said you're coming, I assume that you'll be a twosome and not coming solo. The more the merrier....
Look forward to the evening and will advise address, directions, assistance and wines as we get closer.

| T-Rep,
Yep. Til Jake gets his regular license (he has his learners) someone has to pick him up after work (9pm) to bring him home. Unfortunately there is no bus service within 1/2 mile of the house.

| I'm in, I'll bring the Boones. I just can't go near any saute pans, I'm sure Johnny will explain why. | | | "It's better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in." -- Lyndon Johnson | |

I assume the Boones your willing to bring is Boone's Farm...does that really go with Italian food?????
Don't worry about having to deal with sautee pans...Mrs. T-Rep and I tend to be somewhat territorial in the kitchen and also don't delegate very well...but there seems to be a good story in there that I'll wait to hear from JohnnyB.

| Hell yeah Boones Farm, and it goes perfect with Italian thank you very much!
Not that big of a story. A little while ago at Corkages I managed to grab the handle on a saute pan that just came out of the oven and burned myself pretty good. Johnny laughed at me and then told me to go to the freezer and get the Ball jar of gravey and hold on to it for a while. That gravey saved me.....apparently Johnny does this alot himself. Damn that was a hot pan. | | | "It's better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in." -- Lyndon Johnson
