I was over picking up some of the swill I have stored at the Subterraneum wine storage facility and Joe (the owner) asked "hey when are we going to have an SQN tasting/dinner?" We talked for a bit and here are the particulars:

Joe is up for a tasting of SQN wines atSubterraneum. He proposed a tasting fee of $10/person (if we bring the wines and glassware, this might be a bit negotiatable). We could then have a dinner after the tasting. Joe would be willing to cook the dinner but if one of the Chefs on the board wants to participate that would be even better (you might not have to bring an SQN). There is a decent kitchen as part of the facility. The date would probably be a Friday or Saturday evening. Each participant must bring an SQN wine to share. There are 12 slots available for the tasting.

Post here if you are interested in an event like this:

I'm interested.

If I cook, I don't have to find a bottle?

So a couple of questions:

Davidn, will it be just you or will Trica be joining us?
Eric, will Teri be coming along?

So the participants so far are:

skwid
joe
davidn (+ Trica?)
eric_white (+ Teri?)
sfwine
ericlunblad

djhombre (cook?)

So that is between six and eight. Would a Friday or Saturday starting around 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. be okay with everyone?

If anyone is looking for a bottle the Midnight Oil, Ventriloquist, and all the MR. K wines are available out here still.

Will Tricia come? It depends on the date. I'd say 75/25 no.

Of course whether I can come depends on the date too. Most of our Friday nights are open but Saturdays will start to get tough what with the holidays standing on the doorstep.

Yikes, I just saw this post.

Count Gail and I in! It can be tough getting to Oakland on a Friday night from the South Bay...
Chicken or fish for Gail please.

Thanks! Joe
