| The Dallas group will be getting together Monday, May 31st, for our sometimes monthly offline. The theme for this offline is "NBC: Nothing But Chardonnay". The weather is heating up in Texas and we're going to try and find a good chardonnay to cool ourselves down. Venue is the WineDrinkerofTexas Ranch in Denton, TX. Start time is 3PM. Bring your own wine and anything you'd like to nibble on. Otherwise, Chef Ying will be doing her usual cooking for an army.
Attendees:
(2) WineDrinkerofTexas + 1 (undeclared)
(2) wineismylife + PURPLE (undeclared)
(2) preferred + 1 (Novy & Neyers)
(2-1/2) Mike M + 1-1/2 (Koonsgaard & White Burgundy)
(1) GregM (undeclared)
(9-1/2) Total
Probable
(2) Texaswineguy
(4) hiatus afflatus
Any out of towners that would like to attend please post. We'll be happy to have you as our guests. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. |

| I think this is a great idea. If someone brings the Albino maybe Jones and I will fly out | | | |

| That would take a lot of Albino. | | | |

| That would be cheating too since the theme is Nothing But Chardonnay. | | | |

We'd let the Albino in the door, no problem.
Man, that just didn't sound right. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| Isn't the Albino something like 50% Chardonnay? | | | |

If it was Edgar or Johnny Winter I'd have to be there myself

| I wanted to thank Tom (WDoT) and his wife Ying for a great afternoon of chardonnay tasting and great food. You two really put out a fine and abundant spread of goodies for nibbling while we tasted the wines. I had a great time and actually found a few Chardonnays that I liked. I know WIML has some notes on all the wines that he will post soon so I won't submit you all to my somewhat sketchy notes. My wine of the tasting was the 2001 Frank Family, followed very closely by the 1994 Jarvis. I look forward to the next get together. Thanks to everyone for bringing such great wines.
