I'll be there in November.  The weekend before Thanksgiving is Fish Expo.  Let's do lunch or something...

We spend three or four months in Kirkland every year.
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

Isn't Mattach over on WinoDepot? I don't post over there all that often. Suppose I can find the 3000 email thread from your visit and invite random people ;-D

Kpak - 21st would work the best. Preference depends on whether or not you have wheels. I've wanted to try Cafe Juanita for a while now, but I've also wanted to get downtown and hit Lark again. Txori Bar is also great and corkage is ~$20.

21st sounds good and I haven't tried any of the three. I didn't really plan on a car - in Seattle, I usually walk almost everywhere.
But I can find my way around the area pretty well...

Alright. It's officially a pinot-fest. We've got a couple of bottles of Rochioli queued (one 2000 and a 2005)) and I'm guessing we'll probably have a bottle of port, as well...

Will probably end up being eastside. Trying to figure out where we can get the best deal on corkage, but still have great food. I'll committ to ferrying up to 3 passengers in the car from Seattle to the end destination if you guys will taxi it back.

Ugh can't edit. Checking out Bin Vivant through a friend. Looks like a nice little place, will crash for lunch over there in the next week or two and see what I think.

Small but fun meet at Bin Vivant in Kirkland
NV Pierre Peters Blanc de Blanc Grand Cru Cuvée Reserve Mesnil-Sur-Oger Champagne - my WOTN perhaps because it was such a pleasant surprise and intro to this champagne (buy it if you see it)
2006 Rochioli Sweetwater Chardonnay - very well balanced, not too oaky not to much MLF, pleasantly bright and worked well with scallops
2000 Rochioli Estate Pinot Noir - really good stuff; very bright and juicy
2002 Rochioli Little Hill Pinot Noir - I thought it was very rusty and barely starting to show anything after more than an hour. I have one more bottle than I'm going to drink ASAP.
2005 Rochioli Little Hill Pinot Noir - start to finish, an excellent winel. I wouldn't hesitate to drink these now...if I had any...
2006 Dusky Goose Pinot Noir Dundee Hills - Had alot of good qualities but I never really got a handle on this one and would like to try it again after several months time.
and a very delicious, dessert by itself, 15 year old madeira.
Drew has notes posted also under What Are You Drinking.
What we ate:
carmelized scallops
sweet potato gnocchi with brie, chestnuts and truffle oil
braised pork belly with dungenss crab cake and apples
hawaiian sunfish with whole grain (farro?)
duck leg confit with delicious parsnips
several desserts - including an interesting moscato sorbet

I forgot about this thread...

Was a fun time in a great little restaurant that is stuck in a hotel in Kirkland. Forgot to ask Roy which Madeira it was, just remember something about a hand-operated elevator 1000 feet above the vineyards :-D

Someday I want to do one of his tours through Portugal/Spain...perhaps including the 'coffin-like' elevator!
