| I figure that August is a tough month to set up a dinner so I thought I'd start the ball rolling for September. (not that I'd be adverce to getting together with folks in August too ) I'd like to suggest a couple of possible themes. Rhone night, it's been a while since we had one of those. How are the Chards? Maybe an all white night, Chard based Sparklers, CA chards, and Chablis The ever popular Pinot Noir night. Bordeaux Bash Thoughts??? | | |

| I'm certainly game for a September dinner but also agree with Dinwiddie that we might want to see if something in August will work. As for themes, I'm intrigued by an all white dinner, with an all pinot dinner as my second choice. Dates?? What works for the Cru?

| I'm fine for anything after August 10th too. Do we want to do midweek or weekend? It seems that we have at least three of us that will entertain an all white wine dinner...do we have a consensus? Restaurant suggestions?

| I'm available most of August, but I figure we shouldn't try to do anything the week of Aug. 11-17 as that is Restaurant Week. The last time I was at Dino, Dean asked when we were going to do another Crü dinner there. | | | |

| I'm ok with Dino and after the 17th is fine- he'extending restaurant week for the whole month is what I remember from his emails on specials--mid-week is Ok and Thursday is my preference-- | | | |

| Works for me. He has free corkage on Thursday nights (except for 8/11-17) Of course, that is probably not the best place to try an all white night. | | | |

Now your talking...sushi and vino! If that's the consensus of the Cru, we should look into Kaz Sushi and Sushi-Ko. I'll be happy to coordinate this one.
How about dates? What about the week of August 18-22? Perhaps Aug 19 or 20?
Thoughts?

| Sounds good to me. I'm on vacation from work, but staying around, so unless something unexpected comes up (wife is in charge of our schedule) I'd love to attend. Either day would be ok. | | | |

| Looks like we might be approaching critical mass...
Looks like August 19th works best for me as I have to be in NY on August 20/21. I'll contact Kaz Sushi Bistro and Sushi-Ko to see if either of them can do a tasting menu for us.
So who else is in?

| If it is the 19th, I can't be in, darn it. Mrs. TJ and I are baking all day and bringing stuff to the Maryland State Fair to enter. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| Okay you sushi loving DC Cruites....here's the scoop.
I have reservations for a party of 6, might be on the high side but I'll be confident that we can get 6 of us together, at both Sushi-Ko and Kaz Sushi Bistro on Monday, August 18th at 7PM.
Sushi-Ko will do a 6 course menu for us at $60 per person and their corkage fee is $15/bottle. I'm waiting for a price from Kaz for 6 courses but his corkage fee is also $15/bottle.
Since both restaurants can take us and since we did sushi/wine at Kaz two times in the past, I'm inclined to give Sushi-Ko a chance to show off their stuff. Mrs. T and I have eaten there twice in the past 6 months or so and really liked the food. Do any of you have a preference?
Who's in or has indicated interest...

Any others?
Chime in regarding which restaurant if of interest to you. And yes, of course, Jaimetown, you can let me know if/when the babysitting issue has been solved...the joys of parenthood, aren't they great?!

| T-Rep, do you recall how the corkage settled out last time? I'd give the nod to whichever restaurant that will eliminate the corkage charge. I'd be happy to take the lead in exploring that with them (if neither budges, then I like your Sushi-Ko suggestion)> | | | |

| Dave...
I don't recall if we were charged a per person corkage fee or by the bottle at Kaz. But since you wear the attorney moniker and I'm just the travelrep, if you'd like to take the lead and try to negotiate a better corkage fee with both restaurants, then feel free to give it a shot. The reservation is under Bromberg, 7PM, Monday, August 18th.
Go get 'em!!
