2006 Bodegas Zabrin Calatayud Garnacha de Fuego Old Vines - Spain, Aragón, Calatayud (5/29/2007)
WIML87,PURPLE88,NOWA,NOWS

Tasted May 29, 2007 at home. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of blueberries early on that eventually blew off with time in glass to reveal some additional notes of black berries and white pepper. Flavors of red cherries and red berries. Light acidity, tannins and body. Pleasant little QPR. I’d recommend splash decanting maybe 15 minutes before serving. Drink over the short term. (87 pts.)
