BACAR

Wine Maker's Dinner: Tuesday, July 22nd, 6:30pm

Inspired by such Slovenian and Friulian producers as Gravner and Radikkon, winemaker Abe Schoeneris aiming to make California wines that are not-so-California. Before Abe got his start in the wine business (as cellar master for John Kongsgaard) he was a philosophy professor. The name of the winery: Scholium Project shares the same root as school or scholarship, therefore is a project with the intent of learning. Based out of Napa Valley, Abe sources fruit for the project from vineyards all over the state of California. He does not believe, however, in including the grape or AVA on the label, because he believes that the vineyards themselves speak true to what they have to offer. From Verdelho to Sauvignon Blanc and Petit Sirah to Cabernet, these wines are delicious, interesting, and cerebral.

Join us on Tuesday the 22nd of July for a five-course dinner paired with nine wines for $125 per person.

Visit our website at http://www.bacarsf.com/ to see the full details and menu for this event.
