The Masters of Food and Wine
Carmel, CA
February 22 thru 25, 2007

For years I have heard about this event but have never attended it. This year however, they have talked me into it. They say that this will be the last Masters ever too.

This has all the makings of an incredible event!

The La Tache tasting looked pretty fine.

It's too bad we will be there the weekend before at the Sonoma gig as I would have considered jumping on a plane. I think I would have picked up the Champagne tasting as well.

Methinks this may be a minor cost compared to her SPA bill... It would be if Gail and I were staying there.

What no rarities dinner?

We'll think about coming down for the Champers tasting on Sunday if it's possible to do just one event...

Tricia isn't really a spa type. She'll probably do a two-hour appointment.

Oh yes, the Rarities. I am not going for two reasons. #1 it is a little rich for my blood especially given the dominance of Cabs. #2 it is sold out.

I have been asked to pour for it though. I'm not entirely sure I would want to do that. I am not the world's best poorer; I don't have the body for it.

The only ones I'd have any interest in are the 1964, 1978, and 1985. I'd like to taste the 2000 and 2001 but wouldn't pay big bucks to do so. The rest you can take it or leave it.

They happily refunded my money. There is a waiting list for the tickets.
