I have a brown lab that knocked cookies off the counter and then ate the cookies and pieces of the glass dish while we were at work. She suffered some cuts in her mouth and the vet xrayed her and said he thought watching her for any discomfort would be okay since the xray didn't show any large glass. I just feel he may be under reacting??? any advice?

My dog (standard poodle, 65 lbs) did the same thing except with a German chocolate cake. I came in to find the glass dish powdered all over the floor, no cake and bloody footprints leading off into the carpeted areas of the house.

The treatment from the vet was to feed her a couple of cans of soft dog food for 2-3 days to help her pass the glass. She loved the treatment and never suffered any ill effects other than a couple of cuts in her mouth and maybe on her feet.
