I am going from one hot climate (Dallas) to another. Anyway, I am sure there are some nice wine frinedly restaurants in the area.

I'd appreciate any suggestions. I'll be there on a Sunday and Monday evening. I will be entertaining clients.

It's been a while, but I enjoyed Jano's on several occasions. It used to be down town, but has since moved to the Westin La Paloma. I found it to be the most "serious" food and wine spot in town. However, we did experience the single most egregious wine faux pas I have ever witnessed while dining there. It was entirely the neophyte server's fault, and the management made good on the goof. We decided to "go for broke" and end our fantastic dinner with a bottle of '84 Heitz Martha's Vineyard. The server opened the bottle and began to pour it into our half-filled glasses of something else. When we shouted for him to stop, he could not believe our angst, and couldn't for the life of him figure out what he had done wrong. Our waiter for the rest of the night was the manager. The bottle of 'whatever' that was still in our glasses was comped. We got to drink the balance of the first bottle of Heitz for free, and a second bottle was brought out for us. A fair result, I'd say.
Beta testing a new signature.

I go to Tucson for business every year and was told that it is illegal to BYOW in Tucson
I have been to Hacienda Del Sol several time. They have nice wine list, they even had Y'quem by the glass. Nice view as well.
Also, McMahon's Prime Steakhouse was great. Nice wine cellar with good selection. I think I order 97' Jayson(Pahlmeyer) for $60+/- last year.

It's been awhile since I've been there, but I always try to eat at Mr. C's (at the top of a hill) when I'm there. I've had some of the best steaks that I've ever had there. I hope it is still there.
