Finally heading to Burgundy in January and wanted to get any updated pointers on places to stay etc.  Tour/tastings are covered so just where to sleep and where to eat?  TIA

It's been quite a while but I understand that some of the same places are still good:

To sleep: in Beaune - Hotel Le Cep - a lovely place in the middle of the city

To eat: also in Beaune - Ma Cuisine

I'll see if any of the other places we went are still any good. I did not have a bad meal in Burgundy. Period. :)

Excellent restaurants not far from Beaune:

Lameloise in Chagny
Greuze in Tournus

Jason, when are you going? I'll be there Jan 11-22...Champagne 11th, Alsace 12-13 and Burgundy 14-21st. If you are there same time we should hook up.

I stayed at the Hotel Le Montrachet in Puligny. Very nice accommodations.

If you want a B&B type place IN the vineyards about 8 miles north of Beaune, PM me for info. Owned by old time property owner, etc.

For both dining and accommodations, I can recomment Chateau de Gilly, in Vougeot.

Also, I would highly recommend staying with Madame Loisy at Domaine Comtesse Michel de Loisy in Nuit-St.-George. The Madame is 90 years old, knows Burgundy inside and out, and is an absolute delight. If you stay with her, please pass along my best wishes.

Sent you a pm, Jason. We'll definitely coordinate it. Looks like just Champagne on the 12th and then straight to Burgundy leaving on the 20th.
