I will be heading to SD for a little beer tasting trip thanks to my girlfriends parents. I am looking for some fun breweries and some great beers. A stop for lunch will also be necessary. Any suggestions? The only brewery that is on the list so far is Stone. Thanks for any ideas...

Does anything but Stone matter in the area?

stone is a given just for the facility alone. they did a great job and all the aged beers on tap are awesome. check out ballast point (not much atmosphere but great beers). alesmith, karl strauss, coronodo, pizza port (carlsbad or solana beach)
