I will be turning the big 30 this coming May and I am looking for a place to party. I would like to find a large home, eight+ bedrooms, with a great property that will allow me to have 75 people, a private chef, and a small band. Wineries are possible but I would like a place pass out at the end of the night without having to go too far.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
tt

I would contact one of the Realtors in St. Helena. I've seen rentals by the week that would fit your description.

Doesn't your boss have a house like that??!!

FWIW, it is my understanding that in St. Helena (for instance) the private home nightly/weekly vacation rentals that you might see on vrbo.com are actually illegal. Against town ordinances. Legal in Calistoga and part of Napa only in the valley.

Actually, I was thinking the caves would be a pretty cool place to do that!  You know where to reach me when the invites go out!

Mountainman, I am no longer working for the dd's, and even if I was they don't celebrate birthdays....or any other holidays...

I checked vrdo.com and found some interesting properties but not the one.

Thanks

See if Terra Valentine will rent you the castle. My wife and I have stayed 5 or 6 times. It is a huge two story castle over looking Fritz Maytags vineyard. Only two huge bedrooms, but you could rent rollouts. Nice huge kitchen, huge fireplace, nice patio. I still have 2 free stays there from back when I poured their wine by the glass, but they limit the amount of guests that can stay on the property for the free. You could make all the noise you want.

Another cool guest house that I have used that fits the bill is the guest house at Cain.

Auberege du Soleil has a private home they rent. I once had a connection there, but thanks to PYang I am banned. Thanks Powell!!!!

If those don't work you could always fork out the dough for http://www.castellodiamorosa.com/ it should be big enough.
