| The top entry on the list grosses 50% from alcoholic beverages. Lots of Vegas spots on this list. Top Grossing US Restaurants | | |

| I knew that the Old Ebbitt Grill would make the list. I eat there almost every day and it's always crowded. | | | |

| You can have a steak and nothing else at Bern's for $54...and it comes with the nice onion soup, salad, potato, and veggies. Of course, when you go for appetizers, the lobster bisque upgrade, etc., it can get really pricey really fast. | | | Leave the gun. Take the cannolis. | |

| I think I counted 11. Fulton's at Disney really surprised me as one of the top grossers, but hey, whatever works. | | | Leave the gun. Take the cannolis. | |

| 14 for me.  Fulton's does a huge convention business. People who go down for corporate events and conventions often have several meals planned for them as part of the package. Fulton's takes on a good bit of this. What I found odd was the inclusion of Alfredo's at WDW. If it was such a money maker, why shut it down? From what I recall, it shuts its doors after service on 8/31. | | | Beta testing a new signature. | |

ouch
I don't think there is anything to be embarassed about, when the list has the likes of Daniel, Four Seasons, Gotham Bar and Grill, The Modern, Sparks, Slanted Door, and Boulevard on it (not to mention numerous places in LV that I haven't been, but others swear by). OK. I do feel a bit uneasy about including Tavern on the Green on my list. But my mom wanted to go to brunch there. What was I going to do? Say no? | | | Beta testing a new signature.

| Everyone wants to go to Tavern on the Green so it's on my list. I think we only went for drinks there. Maybe that's why they get on the list? A few others include Nobu NY; Delmonico, Vegas; 4 Seasons NY; Gladstones, Malibu; Aquarium, Kemah; Aureole, Vegas; Spago, Vegas; Daniel's Broiler, WA. | | | |

| The one's that I've been, and my critiques:
Joe’s Stone Crab, Miami Beach - mediocre. You go because everyone else has at least once in their life Mon Ami Gabi, Las Vegas - mediocre - nice environment, lousy wine and average food The Slanted Door, San Francisco - fair; there are better Viet restaurants in the Bay Area; good wine list and appetizers though Harris Ranch Restaurant, Coalinga, Calif. - average steak house in the middle of nowhere with a lot of cows Boulevard, San Francisco - excellent Aureole, Las Vegas - the most expensive meal I've ever had; good but incredibly pretentious | | TN posted on Cellartracker"

| Two for me (Portland City Grill and Philips in Baltimore) and I'm indifferent-to-negative about this list. Gross revenues don't seem particularly connected to "interesting" or "quality". PCG is a hole whose only redeeming feature is being on top of the tallest building in town, and Philips is an okay tourist trap IMO. There are a handful of restaurants on that list that I'd seek out, and a large number that I'd actively avoid... | | | |

Joe’s Stone Crab, Miami Beach - mediocre. You go because everyone else has at least once in their life I agree. But I thought it was just a cut above mediocre. Still, that makes me realize I have been to two on the list now. D'oh! | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

Still, that makes me realize I have been to two on the list now. D'oh! I was there about 10 years ago. You're probably right that the food is better than mediocre. My impression was that it was just a tourist joint. I don't remember what I had but it was probably stone crabs I was surprised to see Scoma's (SF) on the list. I don't think I even know one person who has ever eaten there. I guess I can stop wondering how they stay in business since it's a money machine. | | TN posted on Cellartracker"

| #2, Tavern, NYC #18, Nobu 57 - one of the few really good ones that I've been to on the list #22, Delmonico's, LV #36, The Manor, NJ - good for ala carte 42, Redeye Grill, NYC 51, Carmine's, NYC 55, China Grill, NYC 65, Daniel, NYC - one of my favorite restaurants ever.
68, Maloney & Porcelli, NYC - who can eat 18oz. of steak for lunch?
78, Gotham, NYC - another favorite
86, Anthony's Pier 4 - my cousin's bar mitzvah party was there, 30 yrs. ago.
Definitely not the list of best (or even good) restaurants. Some are great, others s**k. I don't really know what the list means to those not in the food and beverage industry, but it was fun to pick out the winners and losers from the list.
