Hello.

I am coordinating a meeting for 100 people in DC in mid-May.  We are staying at The Madison Hotel (Loews) on 15th street.  I need to plan 2 dinners.

1 dinner will be on the Odyssey Cruise ship down the Potomac....I hear great things about this cruise.  Perfect for a bunch of out-of-towners who have never been to DC.

The other dinner is still in the planning stages.  Does anyone know the 15st/downtown area well?  I am hoping we can WALK to a restaurant that can meet the following needs:

Well-known place / DC institution
Touristy is certainly ok
Doesn't have to be fancy at all....just a good bar and good food.

Would Old Ebbitt Grill be a good place to go?

Kimber.... Just want to make sure I'm reading this right....you need to find a place that can accommodate 100 people in downtown DC? Not sure what restaurant will be able to handle groups that large. Old Ebbitt Grill is a pretty good place but I don't think they can do a group that large. Mrs. T is a meeting planner in the DC area...I'll ask her for any suggestions based on your criteria as well as trying to think of a place.... T-Rep
