Lucky you, living in NYC gives you "fast access" to the entire East Part of Canada.
Few destinations you can do in a week - 10 days:
start with Toronto (2 days stay), via Niagara Falls and continue to
Montreal (2-3 days stay), in 3-4 hours you'll be in
Quebec City (2-3 days stay)
If you don't mind driving a few more hours more -
go home via
Maine 2 days stay and pig out on the lobsters there.
We covered all those grounds except Toronto in 10 days.
If you make it to Quebec City,
there is one place which is a MUST for your sences:
http://wineknight.com their wine cellar is one of the BEST wine cellars I ever seen in person.
If you decide going there, and I'll alert Paul who will give you and your better half the personal tour of the cellar. If you are in luck, there are might be still a few bottles left of 1982 Burgundy for...$75 Canadian!
