We're planning a trip with 8 or 9 other couples to the Napa/Sonoma area for a long weekend in mid-May. I'd love suggestions for a house, or perhaps an estate with a few houses, that could accomodate us. Requirements are separate rooms, with king or queen beds, for each couple - sorry, we're too old for bunk rooms, and a functional kitchen, as we'll do some meals in. Other than that, I'd love to hear some ideas. We're celebrating a friend's 50th birthday, and according to her husband, there is no budget !

Since cost is no object, check out
Auberge Du Soleil
. Go for the "Private Mansions" (Champagne and Loire). Btw, if this is the 3rd weekend in May I would reserve early as there are several wineries which have parties on that weekend.

I'll be on the August West/Kosta Browne cruise that weekend. How 'bout you come along on that instead?
